COMMEMORATIVE RADIO MEDALLIONS

THE
GREEN RADIOLETTE 1937

MODEL 37 EMPIRE STATE RADIO.
Australia's rarest medallion
Medallion measures 50mm and in 3.2 mm thick cast in gold with the green radiolette cast in green in the center and authorized by Australian vintage wireless here in Perth.

Presented in crushed velvet case, and sequentially numbered with green certificate all quality work to herald the arrival of what is the worlds rarest radio medallion.

During 1937 just over 300 of the now famous green radiolette radios in there superb art deco design were produced at the Ashfield works of AWA in Sydney. Fewer than 100 survive in the world of this model at the present time.

Now at enormous expense Australian vintage wireless has released this totally limited edition of 50 only medallions.

Cost of the medallion is $30 this includes registered posting to anywhere in Australia.

Please don't hesitate should you require this super collectable as to date
 only 7 are left.

This particular medallion is not part of the series of 12 below

COLLECTABLE MEDALLION SET
About the collection

The radios pictured throughout this edition depict some of our rarest sets, and a certificate is supplied with each medallion giving history on these icons of Australian history, each Medallion is sequence numbered and each certificate is also numbered to match the same Medallion.

This is a totally limited edition of 300 of each Medallion and this series is copyrighted and will never be repeated by this company or anybody else.

The amount of 299 of each Medallion will be offered out for the collectors to purchase with the remaining number 1 of each medallion staying of course with the company.

The ability for this collection to appreciate in both dollar value and collectability is of course without question, and Australian vintage wireless have done the collections so that in fact when finally the availability of our vintage radios does fade away ! we will in fact still have a super collectible series and something to be passed on to future generations.

The Medallions
The total of 3600 Medallions that have been minted for the 1930's series are 45mm round x 3.2 mm thick in gold and embossed with Australian Vintage Wireless around the inner of the Medallion, on the rear of the piece is the running sequence number , in the centre of the Medallion is the picture of the radio and as is the case on the first release it is the Famous AWA C87 Cathedral. Other sets in the 30's series include the C104 Cathedral , R/28 Empire State, Astor Alladin ,Airzone symphony leader , but to name a few ! At bottom of the piece it has radio name embossed on the piece . Each Medallion is presented with its radios history Authenticated Certificate and the Medallion comes in a top quality green crushed velvet box.

No expense has been spared on the series and this series is very soon to be followed by the limited edition series of 12 sets from the 1940's and yes we have Authorised the 50's series as well.

These three complete series are our contribution to the Radio collectors of Australia and we have taken great care and pride in manufacture of the series.

Due to the exorbitant cost of doing the series even the 1940's and 1950's series will also be strictly limited editions, To protect both the investor and the purchaser we have of course copyrighted all the series.

The cost of the Medallions

$375 for a complete set which includes registered post to anywhere in Australia.
Be quick these wont last. Once they are sold out thats it. No more will be minted.

This series is a first for Australian vintage radio! and for those of you who know me personally, well you will know how quality minded I am in respect to everything radio and beyond.

This series is total class and history in the making ! one thing is certain only 300 people can own a series of the medallions. I know in the radio world of collectors in Australia we have several thousand collectors but alas to produce a series to cater for thousands instead of a few hundred would have cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Australian Vintage Wireless has put all available funds into the creation of this much needed series of super collectables on Australian radio, it really had to be done so as generations beyond our years can have something when the radios as we know them are long gone.

As the medallions are only 299 of each available I would not wait to long to order you series , when they are gone well that's it Please wait for me to inform you of payment details before you attempt payment.

In the old Australian rhetoric it is called ''keeping the buggers honest ''

In this trade that prophecy comes before anything else.

The future for vintage radio in Australia  i believe is looking good! radio has survived in this country since 1923 and there appears no reason why it cannot survive another 81 years. We have now more collectors , restorers of vintage radio in this country than at any other time, since the clubs and radio collecting really took off in 1982.
